Husyca has participated last November 2022 in Moldplas, the plastic fair that was held in Portugal and which brought together the main mold and plastic companies. We have a stand at the fair itself.
In addition, Husyca has participated for many years in Equiplast, another of the main plastic fairs that is held annually and which brings together the entire industry in the sector.
Participation in Equiplast 2021
If you missed the Equiplast Plastic Fair, you missed a lot. This was the largest plastics fair in Spain, with exhibitors from all over the world coming to display their wares. Here’s a quick rundown of some of the highlights. One of the big themes in Equiplast was sustainability.
With the global movement to reduce plastic waste, many companies are looking for ways to make their products more eco-friendly. One company that is leading the way is M&G Environmental, which debuted its new line of biodegradable plastics at the show. Made from renewable materials such as corn starch, these plastics can be disposed of in the usual compost bin, without the need to separate them for recycling.
Another very popular exhibition was that of the Brazilian company Braskem, “The method of life”. This presentation explained Braskem’s trajectory to become a sustainable company, and how they are working to create a circular economy for plastic. One way to do this is by using sugarcane ethanol to create ethylene, the building block of most plastics. By using renewable resources like sugarcane instead of fossil fuels, they are able to create a product that has a much smaller carbon footprint.
If you are interested in keeping up to date with the latest advances in the plastics industry in Spain, Equiplast is undoubtedly your fair. With exhibitors from around the world showcasing their latest products and innovations, it’s the perfect place to learn about the latest trends in sustainability, recycling and much more. Whether you are looking for new suppliers or want to keep up to date with the latest developments in the sector, it is worth visiting Equiplast.
